Strategic high-altitude deployment. This mission is engineered for the time-sensitive explorer. Utilizing the luxury of Swissôtel Quito and the tactical positioning of Tambopaxi, we provide a seamless, 5-day summit window for one of the world’s most iconic peaks.


DURATION: 5 Days from Quito.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival | Quito Strategic Base

Touch down in Quito (2,850 m), a UNESCO World Heritage hub. Secure private transport to Swissôtel Quito, your high-altitude base of operations. Enjoy the hotel’s elite amenities and “Swiss-standard” recovery to prepare your body for the Andean environment.

Day 2: Acclimatization | Rumiñahui Summit (4,727 m)

Deploy to Cotopaxi National Park. Following a systems check at Limpiopungo Lagoon, we execute an acclimatization ascent of Rumiñahui. This 4-hour technical hike offers panoramic views of your primary objective. Retreat to Tambopaxi Lodge for high-altitude nutrition and logistical briefing.

Overnight: Tambopaxi Lodge (Inside National Park).

Day 3: Technical Training | Glacier Mastery

Move to the Cotopaxi glacier for specialized training. We refine your Ice Axe self-arrest, crampon technique, and rope-team protocols. This is a scientific approach to climbing: building confidence through repetition. Return to Tambopaxi for final rest and gear optimization.

Focus: Glacier mechanics & summit preparation.

Day 4: Summit Day | Cotopaxi Apex (5,897 m)

00:00 Deployment. Under starlight, we begin the final ascent. Reach the 19,347 ft summit at sunrise for an unrivaled view across the Avenue of Volcanoes. Following the descent, enjoy a private extraction back to Swissôtel Quito for a celebratory dinner and luxury recovery.

Overnight: Swissôtel Quito.

Day 5: Mission Debrief | International Departure

Final recovery breakfast at Swissôtel. Private transfer to Mariscal Sucre International Airport for your flight home. Mission complete.

  • Prominence: The mountain rises about 3,000 meters from its base on the highland plain.

Pre-acclimate at Home with a Hypoxic Tent that we will deliver to your doorstep.

Once on the mountain we will monitor you at all times to ensure that your vital organs are receiving the proper amount of oxygen.
