Six days. Luxury stays. Full O₂ for summit day.
Cotopaxi Rapid O₂ is a six-day private climb for fit travelers who arrive in Quito without time for a traditional acclimatization program and do not want two weeks of hypoxic training at home. Built by Kordillera with Cotopaxi Travel, it combines luxury stays, expert guiding, glacier preparation and full supplemental oxygen support for your summit day.
Cotopaxi Backup O2
Advanced oxygen support for the summit window that matters.
This is an add-on to the Cotopaxi Travel standard Cotopaxi climb package. It is not a standalone expedition, hotel program, or base itinerary. It is a premium oxygen, monitoring, and mountain-support layer added to your normal Cotopaxi Travel summit attempt.
The Cotopaxi Rapid Ascent O₂ is built for climbers attempting the 5,897 m / 19,347 ft Cotopaxi summit with limited time, limited acclimatization, or a need for additional professional support.
Supplementary oxygen is included and carried throughout the ascent, supported by dedicated mountain staff and advanced physiological monitoring to provide an additional layer of support, confidence, and peace of mind.
Added to the Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb. Not sold as the base climb.
Rapid Ascent O₂ is purchased in addition to the standard Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package. The Cotopaxi Travel climb covers the core itinerary, guide program, transportation, lodging, meals, and summit logistics. This add-on adds dedicated high-altitude oxygen support, additional mountain staff, physiological monitoring, and VIP coordination for the summit attempt.
Secure Your VIP Back-Up Ascent
A one-day VIP support add-on for climbers who already have, or are booking, the Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package and want an additional layer of assistance for the summit attempt.
When You Need More Than a Standard Expedition
We created this add-on for a very specific situation: you are already committed to the Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb, but your body, your schedule, or the mountain has not followed the plan.
Your travel schedule is short and there is not enough time for a traditional acclimatization program.
You have completed another climb and realized that altitude is affecting you differently than expected.
You are an experienced climber but want additional mountain staff, supplementary oxygen, and advanced monitoring.
You have invested significant time and money in your Ecuador expedition and want an additional layer of support for yourself and reassurance for your loved ones.
Advanced Technology for High-Altitude Mountaineering
The technology behind the Rapid Ascent O₂ system was developed by a Stanford professor and experienced climber with more than 20 years of mountaineering experience and extensive experience monitoring expeditions in the Himalayas.
Kordillera combines this expertise with modern medical technology and mountain experience to provide climbers with an additional level of information and professional oversight during their ascent.
Rapid Ascent. Professional Support. Advanced O₂.
The add-on is built for a narrow use case: a serious summit objective, limited time, and the desire for a more robust support layer than the standard Cotopaxi Travel ascent.
Specialized supplementary oxygen support for high-altitude climbing.
Dedicated additional mountain support for each climber.
Experienced mountain professionals responsible for technical guidance, route management, and mountain safety.
Personalized coordination, priority logistics, and close support before and during the ascent.
Physiological Information During the Climb
Monitoring adds context. It gives the team another way to understand how the climber is responding to altitude, effort, cold, fatigue, and the summit schedule.
Oxygen saturation can be monitored during the ascent to provide real-time physiological information.
Heart rate data provides an additional physiological indicator throughout the climb.
When monitoring is activated, physiological information can be reviewed remotely by the expedition’s medical team.
Supplementary oxygen is carried throughout the ascent and available whenever required according to mountain and medical protocols.
Important mountain and medical information: Supplementary oxygen and physiological monitoring are additional safety and support measures layered onto the standard Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package. They do not eliminate the risks associated with high altitude, replace appropriate acclimatization, or guarantee a medical outcome or summit. The mountain guide retains final authority regarding route, safety, and whether a summit attempt should proceed based on weather, mountain conditions, and the climber’s condition.
Protect Your Summit Investment
When your time in Ecuador is limited and the Cotopaxi summit matters, add an additional level of professional mountain support, advanced oxygen, and peace of mind to your Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package.
