When the summit matters
Designed for climbers whose time in Ecuador is limited and who want an additional layer of mountain, oxygen, and physiological support on Cotopaxi.
Not a replacement for the Cotopaxi package. An added support layer for the summit attempt.
Not generic guiding. Mountain judgment, medical awareness, and dedicated staff.
Not luxury for its own sake. Support that serves the summit attempt.
Added to your climb
Rapid Ascent O₂ is purchased in addition to the standard Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package.
The Cotopaxi Travel climb covers the core itinerary, guide program, transportation, lodging, meals, and summit logistics. This add-on adds dedicated high-altitude oxygen support, additional mountain staff, physiological monitoring, and VIP coordination for the summit attempt.
When You Need More Than a Standard Expedition
We created this add-on for a very specific situation: you are already committed to the Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb, but your body, your schedule, or the mountain has not followed the plan.
Time Constraint
Your travel schedule is short and there is not enough time for a traditional acclimatization program.
Altitude Reality
You have completed another climb and realized that altitude is affecting you differently than expected.
Additional Support
You are an experienced climber but want additional mountain staff, supplementary oxygen, and advanced monitoring.
Peace of Mind
You have invested significant time and money in your Ecuador expedition and want an additional layer of support for yourself and reassurance for your loved ones.
Advanced Technology for High-Altitude Mountaineering
The technology behind the Rapid Ascent O₂ system was developed by a Stanford professor and experienced climber with more than 20 years of mountaineering experience and extensive experience monitoring expeditions in the Himalayas.
Kordillera combines this expertise with modern medical technology and mountain experience to provide climbers with an additional level of information and professional oversight during their ascent.
The system adds oxygen, monitoring, and support to the guide’s field judgment. It does not replace acclimatization or the authority of the mountain team.
Monitoring capabilities:
- SpO₂ — Live oxygen saturation monitoring
- Heart Rate — Continuous cardiac workload tracking
- Remote Oversight — Medical team review of physiological data
- Advanced O₂ System — Supplementary oxygen carried throughout ascent
Rapid Ascent. Professional Support. Advanced O₂.
The add-on is built for a narrow use case: a serious summit objective, limited time, and the desire for a more robust support layer than the standard Cotopaxi Travel ascent.
Oxygen
Rapid Ascent O₂ System — Specialized supplementary oxygen support for high-altitude climbing.
Staffing
2 Mountain Support Staff / Member — Dedicated additional mountain support for each climber.
Guiding
Professional Mountain Guide — Experienced mountain professionals responsible for technical guidance, route management, and mountain safety.
Coordination
VIP Coordination — Personalized coordination, priority logistics, and close support before and during the ascent.
Important mountain and medical information: Supplementary oxygen and physiological monitoring are additional safety and support measures layered onto the standard Cotopaxi Travel Cotopaxi climb package. They do not eliminate the risks associated with high altitude, replace appropriate acclimatization, or guarantee a medical outcome or summit. The mountain guide retains final authority regarding route, safety, and whether a summit attempt should proceed.
