Scientists monitor the volcano every day using earthquakes, GPS deformation, volcanic gases, satellite imagery, and direct observations. No single signal predicts an eruption. The real skill is recognizing patterns before they become dangerous.

For climbers and trekkers, understanding a mountain means more than knowing the route. It means understanding the forces that built it, shape it, and occasionally remind us that it is still alive.

The goal is not to predict the exact day.

The goal is to recognize when the volcano is changing.
