Kordillera Rapid O₂ is a premium accelerated mountaineering program for Chimborazo, combining structured acclimatization, professional Ecuadorian guiding, physiological monitoring and lightweight pulse-demand supplemental oxygen for the summit ascent.
A different way to approach 6,000 meters.
Rapid O₂ is designed for experienced, time-constrained climbers who want a shorter Ecuador program without reducing the expedition to a simple “fly in and climb” proposition. Acclimatization remains part of the plan; supplemental oxygen adds another layer of physiological support during the summit phase.

Progressive altitude exposure, skills work and objective readiness checks before the summit attempt.

Lightweight personal oxygen delivery timed to inhalation, avoiding the inefficiency of conventional continuous-flow systems.

A representative Rapid O₂ Chimborazo itinerary is intentionally compact. Exact timing remains dependent on weather, route conditions, guide assessment and each climber’s physiological response.
Quito arrival
Arrival at approximately 2,850 m. Equipment review, baseline assessment and expedition briefing.
Acclimatization
Controlled altitude exposure, movement assessment and technical preparation with the guiding team.
Higher exposure
Progressive altitude work and objective assessment of readiness for the summit phase.
High camp
Final oxygen-system checks and rest before departure.
Summit attempt
Guided ascent with supplemental pulse-demand oxygen, physiological checkpoints and defined turnaround logic.

Rapid O₂ is built around conservative field decisions. A GO indication does not compel continuation. Weather, route hazards, guide judgment, symptoms or equipment issues can terminate an ascent at any time.
